I have the same problem. I am using the version available for VMWare Player and tried to use the command line described, but the error continues. One interesting thing I noticed is that I can access internal pages, for example, if I type
http://(ip from another machine on the network)/ I can share the page hosted on this server, but for other pages, such as www .google.com, the same error appears. It would not be a problem of setting the environment ? Thanks, |

I had this issue and I was able to resolve it by ensuring that the FQDN used by the server was in /etc/hosts.
Seems it couldn't find itself. On debian/ubuntu it would look like 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 host host.company.com And Dimdim was configured to use host.company.com Hope this helps. Austin |
